Speed holes and a Revolver2 Throttle

Last year I ran a Motion Pro Revolver throttle.  I wanted to be able to use this throttle assembly on my little Ninja, so I contacted Motion Pro about getting a throttle cable for it.  Long story short, they never offered a Revolver kit for the Ninja 650 (gasp).  If I wanted a cable I had to get one custom made.  Motion Pro also makes custom cables and I was told, “I could have one made up, but I needed to send them my old EX throttle assembly and cables, so they could get the lengths.”  They ended up building me a custom cable for the Rev2 and sold me a complete kit.  I was a little confuse by this at first, but after discussing it further on the phone with the custom cable guys I was told, “I would pay half price since I helped get information to add another model to the Rev2 lineup.”  I was very pleased with this.

Motion Pro Revolver2. I was the first to ask Motion Pro for a revolver throttle cable. I had my old revolver throttle from my R6 and I wanted to use it on this project. (I am a sucker for trick parts).

I also made more subframe parts. I am not to satisfied with the way the two smaller holes at the end of the 5 hole pattern turned out.  I may scrap this one and start over. That’s one thing I have learned, “if if am not happy with the way a part looks or if think the craftsmanship is shotty, I don’t think twice about starting over.”

The only thing left on the subframe is building the battery tray mounts and that will not be done until the CF battery tray is finished.

Riding motorcycles and wrenching since my preteen years, I have moved from motocross to street bikes. Being a teen back in those days it was tough to get me off of the bike. Now days even though I am very busy being a dad I still have my weekends and go to the track to race and on occasion will do a track day or two.
