Removal of unwanted parts from the EX650

Well its my 2nd to last day of being off work. Back to the factory on Monday I guess. I did three main things today on the bike.  Removed the pair valve and installed a block off plate.  Cut off the kickstand bracket, and along with it came the kickstand.  I had some spare time so I started to remove the triple tree.  I also removed the key switch from the triple tree, because the key switch, fuel cap, and seat lock can be sold on E-bay.  I ordered the correct steering stem bearings from All Balls (for the R6 front end swap).

Had a block off plate made.
I made my own block off plate.

Removed the kickstand and bracket.

Removed upper triple tree.

I have also been trying to part out my old R6 and anything that I am not going to use from the  EX650.  Needless to say it involves a bunch of pissing around, but items are going out the door, and funds can then be directed to this project.

Riding motorcycles and wrenching since my preteen years, I have moved from motocross to street bikes. Being a teen back in those days it was tough to get me off of the bike. Now days even though I am very busy being a dad I still have my weekends and go to the track to race and on occasion will do a track day or two.
