Kawasaki Ninja 650 er6 track bike build.

Well, I started to tear the bike down. Started by removing the seat, rearsets, tail light, fender eliminator kit, frame covers, upper and lower fairings, headlight, and tail section fairings.  Take note I did not just go all willy nilly on the tear down process. I am very methodical and patient, because I want these parts to come off in the best shape possible, so I can resell them.

I discovered there were a few broken mounting tabs on the right hand upper fairing.  All the other parts were in good condition, minus a couple scratches here and there, and most of that will clean up or be repainted.

Removed so far.

  1.  Upper fairings
  2.  Lower fairings
  3.  Headlight
  4.  Frame covers
  5.  Seat
  6. Tail section fairings
  7. Tail light
  8. Fender eliminator
  9. Pimp under body lighting
  10. Gauge cluster (I’m unsure if I am going to reuse it at this point)

So far its just been removing and looking at parts to see if they are worth selling.  I do not like to put junk parts on E-bay, but sometimes that is what people are looking for. One persons junk is another persons treasure” as they say.  Evaluating what is good and bad is one thing, deciding to use the part myself or go aftermarket is another.  I’m a sucker for trick parts.

Riding motorcycles and wrenching since my preteen years, I have moved from motocross to street bikes. Being a teen back in those days it was tough to get me off of the bike. Now days even though I am very busy being a dad I still have my weekends and go to the track to race and on occasion will do a track day or two.
