Tourist Trophy: a Chinese motorcycle at the start of the 2013 Lightweight TT

The Tourist Trophy widens its borders. This year, at the start of Lighweight reserved for Supertwins TT (twin-cylinder 650cc 4-stroke), there will be a Chinese bike: CF Moto, imported into the United Kingdom from WK Bikes. A debut in the race will lead the CF Moto 650 will be Australian David Johnson, the fastest “newcomer” of the 2010 edition, able last year to travel to 125,831 mph riding a Superbike.

The project of CF Moto / WK Bikes was presented at the Motorcycle Live Show in Birmingham, with this commitment to promote sports activities CF Moto and WK Bikes in the UK.

We are proud to be the first Chinese brand to the way of the Tourist Trophy , “said Henry Maplethorpe, Managing Director of WK Bikes. ” Hampshire Motorcycles will develop and lead in the race, our bike, produced by WK Bikes in the UK and CF Moto in China. We look forward to confront the Isle of Man . ”

Riding motorcycles and wrenching since my preteen years, I have moved from motocross to street bikes. Being a teen back in those days it was tough to get me off of the bike. Now days even though I am very busy being a dad I still have my weekends and go to the track to race and on occasion will do a track day or two.
